Friends, have you heard that Inland Curry is under new ownership? Noreen Hiskey is the new owner and is at the helm of what Inland Curry of offering to the Spokane region. Noreen is a passionate foodie, recipe food blogger, recipe developer, food photographer and wonderfully talented cook, the food that she makes is nothing less than incredible. I have had the pleasure of enjoying the dishes that Noreen has prepared at several events and gatherings prior to her taking over Inland Curry quite and every time I have been impressed with the layers of flavors and unique aspects of the food I'm eating. We have also now a couple meals from Inland Curry and they are of course equally as fabulous. If you would like to try her incredible food for yourself you can follow the Inland Curry page HERE and every Sunday evening or Monday morning you would see that the that the week's menu will be posted. Noreen has a wonderful variety of options that she rotates through on her weekly menu. She also always has a vegetarian option. Upon opening she said she will “ be offering dishes that you won’t find on typical Indian restaurant menus. More regional Indian food, street food and there will be Indo Chinese in the rotation.“ Don't delay in ordering as the meals available sell out quickly. On the Thursday of the week you order, it will be available for pick up at Feast world kitchen on 3rd downtown in the late afternoon/evening.

Curious what some of the dishes are that Noreen is offering to the community? Here is a peak at some of them:

Chicken Dhansak - A popular Indian dish originating among the Parsi (Zoroastrian) community, it's a fusion dish that includes elements of Persian and Gujaraiti (Indian) cuisines.

Shahi mushroom Korma - Whole mushrooms and veggies, simmered in a rich onion and cashew sauce that’s flavorfully balanced with whole spice but has an sweetness from the caramelized onions.

Caramelized Basmati Rice (Parsi brown rice) - A savory rice with a hint of sweetness, this caramelized brown rice is the perfect pairing with Dhansak Dal. Topped with brown onions.

Parsi Kheema Cutlets (2 piece) - Parsi cutlets is a dish made of spicy Kheema (ground lamb & beef, in this case) patties seasoned with onion, ginger, chilli and mint chutney, dipped in bread crumbs and drenched in egg (chile relleno style) and shallow fried. It is almost like eating a delicious kebab stuffed omelet. Served with green chutney for dipping. (Goes great with Dhansak & Rice)

Ravo (Parsi Semolina Pudding) - Ravo is a delicious creamy semolina pudding (milk based) flavored with rose water and nutmeg. It is topped with crunchy nuts & softened raisins roasted in pure ghee.

Sponsor a Thanksgiving Meal?

I want to tell you about something very special that Inland Curry is doing for Thanksgiving. They are giving the community the opportunity to sponsor a meal for a local family or individual in need. What an amazing way to help others in a practical way while also supporting a wonderful local business. A team of local chefs including Noreen, Chef Ricky Webster (owner of Rind and Wheat) and others will be volunteering their time and preparing the meals. It is only $10 to sponsor a meal which is incredible to me! For additional info. head to the Inland Curry website HERE.

BIG congratulations to Noreen on her new business, In the short time that she’s been open I have seen the Spokane community show up with their support and love, it’s been amazing to see! I wish you all the best, Noreen!
